When Kimberly and I started talking about opening our cafe again we realized that we wanted to have something that stood out. Something that could kind of be our signature move so to speak. We started researching phrases like best pumpkin spice latte, savoury pumpkin spice latte, best pumpkin spice latte near me. We wanted to get to know the history of the pumkin spice latte and how it came to north america. Why has it become such a popular drink and why is it only served in the fall?
We all know Starbucks and how they made it so popular. I remember watching people flock to them and thought why do they only sell it in the fall? I get it, they want to create a buzz, to make it demand and then supply. In our research for the perfect pumpkin spice latte recipe we even looked at some of the copycat recipes from people who like theirs and we ultimately came up with a blend of many recipes.
Our Pumpkin spice latte is rich, smoothe, creamy and savoury. It has real pumpkin puree and will hopefully bring all the flavors that you have come to love with a little extra kick. We also use level ground espresso beans and the combination of these 2 are amazing. I would like to thank my wife Kimberly for working so hard with me on this recipe and for turning me, a person who really did not like pumpkin at all (wouldn't touch it for over 40 years) into a person who is now addicted to our very own pumpkin spice latte.
