#YEG Coffee Shop
Chris and Kimberly have owned Good News Auto since 2012. Good News Auto is a social business, started in 2012. Good News Auto was started to create a sustainable way to offer JumpStart to the Edmonton community. The JumpStart Fund offers financial assistance for vehicle repairs for people in our community who are employed and facing a large vehicle safety repair.
The Journey Cafe is a continuation of the social aspect of Good News Auto. Our goal is to continue to support people in our community both financially, through employment placements and community events.
How can you be involved in our coffee shop?
Journey Cafe is a volunteer run community project, it is also a registered national non-profit. This project has cost about $100,000 and as you can imagine comes with all sorts of challenges and opportunities. We have several areas available for you to be involved in ranging from barista, server, cleaning to volunteer coordinator and event manager.
